  1. Feels good to be posting on an old-school forum again. It's been an age since I was active on one. I used to spend a lot of time in ye olde Enix forums. Currently 150ish hours into my first playthrough of DQXIs with super strong enemies. Also playing DQVI for the first time when my wife isn't available to watch XI. She'd kill me if she missed any story stuff

  2. It's not too bad, have to keep an eye out for it, or make sure to stick to the plains as much as possible for lower consumption. @Plattym3 didn't think it hindered him much at all.

  5. Welcome! What was your handle on the old Enix Forums? Remember our old admin Nob? Dwaine and I recently video-interviewed him on Dragon's Den's Slime Time podcast.

  6. Oof! I still have my Caravan Heart Translated Cart sitting on my shelf. The whole limited moves based on food or whatever has me feeling a little overwhelmed by the thought of starting it. In Bravely Default, I got the Summoner Asterisk abs proceeded through events to the point where I’ve got two more sub plots on my map and I’ve gotta track down another Vestal. In NNK remastered, I’m in a snowy place tracking down a second stone for Mornstar. I did a bunch of Bounty Hunts to grind up before this bit, but I still feel a little weak in this dungeon. I may Pause my journey for a l

  7. Those are some great thoughts. I will agree that no DQ game dives into relationships the way V does and that would be kinda neat. As for the post-game content, I think most of us would love that. Though depending on how extensive the extra content is, I may use it as an excuse for a third playthrough I really would love for them to bring the job system back to DQ. I think that would add TONS of potential playtime and replay value. That, and a more explorable open world would make the game a 10 for me.

  8. While I know it's a really far out there fantasy, I think it could be fun for XI S to receive a mini expansion that adds to the post game. While yes, it's always fun to take my level 99 team out into the wild and destroy monsters, it bothers me that I always have a certain final boss always looming overhead. I've destroyed them countless times, and man... I just want live happily with Erik, game! Let Eleven (who I named Luca in my file) rest! It's currently 3am and my brain is going into overdrive thinking about this, so I'm gonna treat you guys to a longish post about things I'd persona

  9. Yep. I’ve got a family group chat and there is tons of: “We are thinking of A, B, or C date for so and so’s event” then no follow up to nail down an actual date

  10. Hello friend. Currently I'm doing a WoT podcast that we're in pre-production of that will be run for the Tarvalon.net website. I'm a longtime and avid reader of those books, so I'm always up to talking about them. People hate Crossroad of Twilight for two reasons: A) They feel as if nothing actually happens plot-wise B) PoV are so out of time sync as one character is doing something, it's months difference compared to another PoV, which completely skews the process of the books.

  11. SaGa Frontier Remastered: Completed Blue’s story! I finally got past the Shield Card road block, and from there I went on to claim Time Magic by defeating the Time Lord, won the duel against Rouge, and found out the truth behind the battle behind the twins and why their homeland sent them off to kill one another. Suddenly, in a bizarre way, it made sense why Blue was forced to go through such ordeals before confronting his brother. The final boss was a real bastard, but I found out a trick for defeating him thanks to combing the power of Time Magic and Space Magic. I had made a few attemp

  13. Grandia: Parallel Trippers. - 3 hours in. Got 1 of the 3 keys I'm supposed to get, then did a HUGE optional area, got the cow character. Learning a lot more about combining skills this playthrough. Got some good 2 and 3 combos going. Theatrhythm Dragon Quest - passed 10,000 points last night while finishing off all the DQI-V music in the one mode with all the songs in a grid. Did some optional other mode and got 1 of 5 slimes. All my characters got into the 70s and then changed Alena into a thief. She's already up in the 40s. Still don't really get what that does, but [emoji2369] In Dragon Q

  15. New Super Mario Bros 2 I played for a little while last night, but couldn't save so put it down. Looked up how to do it today. Odd to unlock it that way, but D'oh. Yo-Kai I've been a huge advocate of. I just got hold of Blasters finally and can't wait to play it. Yo-Kai Watch 3 was absolutely amazing and basically had an entire 2nd game (Blasters) built in as a side mission. Yeah, dozens of hours of side missions! I really do love the whole battle system and Level-5 goodness Yo-Kai does. I talked about Yo-Kai Watch in an episode of the Den's podcast: https://anchor.fm/dqslimetime/episodes/S

  16. Yeah. Weekends are filling up fast. And I was planning a small getaway this summer, just my wife and me, but luckily caught word of this small family reunion before I booked a hotel. Family wants to meet up, but I still can't get them to actually communicate with each other. [emoji849] They're all on Facebook, all in a family group, but steadfastly refuse to use it. My dad said something was going on, but didn't know who and when. Took a bunch of messages to find out they're coming to visit US after July 4th. I was all set to be gone. Wouldn't that have been ironic?

  17. Restarted Grandia: Parallel Trippers last night. This is a game I had a lot of fun with last summer, but hadn't quite configured the GBC emulator correctly on my Vita and lost my 5-6 hour save. Now that I've hacked my 3DS, it has native support for all Nintendo GB/GBC/GBA. It installs them as Virtual Console titles, so hard to screw up saves that way. It's supposed to be a nice 10-12 hour game and I'm already playing around with systems I hadn't touched last time, so an hour in, I'm having fun! Also booted up and was able to pull my save off a 7 year-old play through of DQ: Caravan Heart. Jum
