  1. I'll begin with the easiest aspect: physical appearance. In the entire game, I was only able to find four people with blue hair and blue eyes: Erik, his sister Mia, the Seer, and Morcant. Erik's hair is a frequently noted part of his appearance, notably in the Echo Chamber's rendition of Weaver's Peak, and when afflicted with Shypox. Now I'll look at the connections between these characters and the region of Sniflheim. During the course of the story, we find that Erik and his sister are orphans, with no known family beyond each other, and their Viking guardians/employers/masters. Beyond

  2. Sorry if there was a topic for this somewhere else that I missed (feel free to point me at it if so), but has anyone else tried out Dragon Quest / Dragon Warrior randomizers? There are very complete ones for Dragon Warrior 1 and II NES, which can change what equipment does, where you find equipment, what enemies appear where, and even rearrange the entire world map. They're awesome! A few people on Youtube do races of them sometimes. but I've just played casually on my own a few times. I'm curious what all the Dragon Quest randomizers that currently exist are. I know of: Dragon Warrior ran

  3. That’s why you let Sylvando use it for Gold Rush. Does around 300 damage to every enemy for the cost of 1000 gold. If you play with the Draconian setting where you can’t spend money, you get a huge stockpile of cash so Sylvando can go nuts and use Gold Rush all the time once he learns it. Did that on my recent playthrough and it was excellent.

  4. Finally! Someone else is playing this! I posted that review a while back trying to spark some interest. Yeah, the slow part didn't really occur to me. Now that people have made me aware though, it's hard not to notice. For me the art and the charm of the game kinda made me enjoy the slow pace, but the slowness certainly isn't really suited to playing on-the-go. The only other thing you may notice is a big jump in difficulty at the end. At least I felt that way. Keep me informed on your thoughts as the game progresses. I'm curious to see if it's something you lik

  5. I don't upgrade weapons/armor unless it's at the minimum a five point increase. I save a lot of gold that way.

  6. Don't get me started. The baby is fine. Mom was fine. Don't really know WTF went on, tiny tests, but we got stuck with a household of 5 for a long ass time. Hahaha. Well it's over now, yes? Lets be happy about that!!

  7. Toei Animation US already released an English subtitled trailer of the the 15 second teaser on YouTube. Obviously, Crunchyroll will get it. It was the same for the Digimon Adventure remake. There was an English subtitled teaser for it months back, and then Crunchyroll got that. They get most of Toei's stuff simulcasted.

  8. Ah, good to know, thanks! Sounds like that's where leveling up other classes to get the crossover skills comes in handy, too, since you can get a few stat boosts from those.

  9. I wasn't aware of the game until the Dragon Quest III events were already underway, but I love Dragon Quest I and II, so I was actually really happy to see these rerun. Plus the the Rubiss chest has fantastic stuff (probably the best chest in the game so far that I know of), so it's good to know it wasn't a one-time-only thing. So I'm happy with it, at least. Plus it gave me a chance to beat the legendary Baramonster and Zoma that I wasn't ready for the first time around, and even got a fiend-class Zoma key.

  10. I think DQ7 is pretty good but it does have a couple of issues. I find the story to be quite good but the game is very long and with the way the game is structured it can be easy to start burning out on it by the end. It is worth playing if you really enjoy the series but I wouldn't recommend it as a good starting point.

  11. I swear one of these days I'm gonna make a thread detailing why all of guys are #$*!ing wrong about II, VI, and IX. It's gonna be epic ftw.
