Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forums here! I found it through the Dragon Quest community on Livejournal. I'm fairly new to the Dragon Quest RPG genre, actually I'm new to the RPG genre in general... lol.. fittingly, Dragon Quest 8 so happens to be the very first one, having recently acquired it not too long ago. I really like the game so far and Yangus has got to be my most fave character. I really like him.

What drew me to Dragon Quest was Akira Toriyama's artwork in the series, as I am a very big fan of his works. I am also a very big fan of the anime Dragon Quest: Legend of Abel. I first discovered it 17 years ago when it was called Dragon Warrior in the US. I discovered it by accident when I woke up early one morning, turned on the TV and there it was. I was hooked instantly. My most favorite character on this series has got to be Mokomoko. I can't get enough of him (heck, I'm wearing a T-shirt with him on it!). He was the reason I got hooked on the series. I always got up early every Saturday morning to see what would happen to him and the rest of the crew. I kept watching it every time until the networks yanked it off the air and needless to say I was really devastated. If it wasn't for my discovery of this gem of an anime series, I would not have become a fan of Toriyama's art & his works, and also would not have been a fan of one character in the Dragon Ball series that looked just like Mokomoko, and that was Yajirobe. I really liked how Mokomoko looked, right down to his getup.

I really have been in the pursuit of finding anything relating to DQ:LOA, yet it has been very difficult for me to do so. And also I would do just about anything to get my hands on the entire anime series. I just wish that it would've been picked up on DVD here in the US, and let fans see some of the best artwork Toriyama has done for Dragon Quest-- although he really did not create the series himself.

Before I go, I would like to promote my Mokomoko shrine, which can be found on my signature below. And for those who appreciate Mokomoko himself, I've set up a forum where anyone can talk about him freely. The link to the forum is here.

Anyway, I'm glad to have found a place like this and I hope to find friends who share the same interests as myself.
