Way back when in the early days of the Den, Kinsan introduced us to a Japanese word-chain game called Shiritori. I think that at least eleven games of Shiritori were played here. The one I'm starting is Summoner-style shiritori, which was version ten. It is played like so:

I start out with a word, for example Roto, and end it with one of these symbols

+ Add one letter

- Take one letter away

* Next word has to be 2x as long as your word

/ It has to be 1/2 the length of your word

= Same amount of letters

The next word after has to start with the letter the previous word ended with, so if I put

Roto ++

then the next word could be Ortega or OldHag and then if the next post was

Ortega *

then the next one could be "AgDevils suck".

Okay, first word:

Alefgard+

Current Location: Stornway. OK, the event was less than I expected, but at least I got the Zoma and Baramos maps, along with 11 guests. And I learned that Demon Spear + Multithrust will not give me four chances for a critical hit. Best of all, that's 11 people from Kendall who now know of the existence of the Dragon's Den! Let's hope at least a few of them register.

Kiefer, your word has to begin with a "N", since Rayburn doesn't end with a "M". But no worries, this is probably your first time playing this. Onward!

Hmm, this is quite different from the Shiri-Tori I have played before. In the one I played you had match the first and last syllables instead of letters. And there was no symbols after each letter either. Ah well, I'm sure there are many, many ways to play it so..

Ryvern? I don't think I've ever heared of that one... Anyways, are you sure there is anything DW-related thats 12 letters long? The closest i could find was Necromancer which is one letter short..

If you are posting this in response to Platty's "Ryvern *" not only does the word start with the wrong letter but it is two letters too short.

I guess you could try to make a phrase or sentence if you can't find a single word to fit the bill.
