Pretty episode again. A bit static-y though.

Dragon Warrior Online was pretty awesome game. Silk's new game is called NEStelgia, I haven't played it but it seems to essentially be DWO, without the DW.

Bid Sniping is a legitimate tactic by the way >_>

Mimas, Kouli on GameFAQs said that towards the end of Beta test they were blocking foreign IPs. Do you know anything about that?

Not much I could do about the static I'm afraid, but I'll try and keep it to a minimum in future. Glad you enjoyed the show nevertheless.

It was mostly only in the first 10 minutes or so. After that it kind of faded away. Or I just stopped noticing it.

The problem could have been me. I switched to my phone cause people have a hard time hearing me. The only other option is to use my bluetooth headset.

This was the first I heard about it. Using the error code that he provided I found this Chinese forum post (which I then had Excite translate into Japanese for me) where people talk about having problems connecting and are getting that error (which only says that there is a problem in the connection and does not mention region blocking). Using a Japanese VPN seems to get them around the issue. This problem seems to have started after the July 10th update. Looking through their forums as well they mention an American also having had the same issue, so it doesn't appear to be only in China. Considering that they were all able to update as far as I can tell, and the updates are done by a separate server, those may not require an VPN to get by, but I would be on the safe side.

Looks like I'll have to write up my "How to use a VPN for your Wii" guide after. I was hopping that I wouldn't have to.


EDIT: Oh, and it looks like Odaiba doesn't have any of the art. Just the statues from the art exhibit.

Eh, so much for my one theory of metals starting the day with a high-in-fiber breakfast

Also, winning a Warrior's Scroll from the wi-fi for Uber Attack Boost sounds a bit extensive when you can just snatch 'em from the demon-at-arms in the Necropolis. I also think a Warrior's Scroll is a reward for one of the proficiency test problems.

That aside, pretty sweet episode, yo. Got kinda chaotic around the end, though

Also, isn't Zoma in that first swords game? I remember seeing a video with him in it.

Also, I think this might be the first I've heard about not being able to cheer on folks in boss fights in X. I mean, come on, isn't a boss fight where you'd want to be rooting for someone the most? Oh well.

Uber attack and uber health are the abilities I use the most often in WMC. So after the first or 2nd one you get, you will need more of them. You could use maniacal moles, but it's a lot of work. Using the dragon is fairly easy to get them. Winning on Sunday is not hard except for ultra.

You can keep stealing them from the demon-at-arms, though. It never runs out of them. Well, you can only get one scroll per battle, but getting into another fight with one isn't hard. Kinda annoying with the warping and all, but not hard

Yeah, but if you do WMC, you get them anyway, I never stole them since I have so many.

Once you get one team (in my case it was mega), you can generally just sit back and accumulate stuff. Rookie was a bad example since it's hard to win 5/5 with my strategy. But any other one, if you get into top 100, you can get the scrolls easily. Good for martial artist if you don't want to wait until Sunday.
