Okay, this boss is really bugging me. Anyone got any ideas other than grind grind grind?

I've been using Kiryl, Meena, the Hero, and Alena. Kiryl, Meena and the Hero are all having to heal because of it's stupid ice breath, leaving only Alena attacking (and the Hero from time to time). It always pans out the same way... Kiryl dies, then Meena dies. Next, Alena and the hero will stay alive while I spam midheal until eventually I will have to let Alena die and then, voila, no damage output as I have to keep healing...

The last time i fought him i used: Hero, Alena, Kryl, and Borya.
Hero and Alena kept attacking, with the hero only healing when needed.
Kryl kept using kabuff and healing.
Borya kepy using oomph and magic attacks.

It really does depend on the equipment and levels, although according to some guides i was under leveled.
You should try to get some armor that protects you from hot/cold damage. You can pick some up at the island at the lower middle of the map. If you don't have the money for it, well, you can grind a bit and get some money and exp/levels at the same time.

I used Maya, Meena, Hero, and Alena.

My strategy for everything in this game consisted of using Borya to cast Oomph on people that deal big damage.

Hero as primary attacker, Borya to Oomph Hero and provide secondary damage, Kiryl for Kabuff and Heals, Meena for Heals.

I used this party for both Marquis De Leon and the final boss.

I person ran this game with all female characters as a challenge because of lacking buffs and I basically loaded up my characters with as much breath protection as possible and I got to lvl 19 (over lvled a bit) from grinding metal slimes in the royal crypt or whatever it's called to get Maya the Kafrizzle spell and it was no challenge at all. The only time I had some slight problems was when he spammed his ice breath twice in a row because I was basically having Alena with Falcon Knife Earrings and Maya with Kafrizzle spamming the boss to death while having Sofia (hero name) and Meena using midheal each roud alternating between the 4 of them.

I was doing about 300 damage per round if Alena did not crit (which she did often, go go insane crit chance) and everyone was more or less maxed out after each round except for breath waves.
