I noticed that it has been a month; shouldn't you just finalize localization policy already?

Yikes, that's true. The post/poll was originally made a little over a month ago, on the 20th of October.

Should we call it a wrap for a vote on the policy, yo?

Sorry for the long delay everyone. I have been in the midst of moving in real life and haven't had much time at all for the wiki. It has been a month and the policy is considered set at this time. Any future comments are welcome to be posted in this thread.

I'm kinda late for the voting, LOL.

I would only like to say it would be fine to organize spells, items, and everything else according to their original Japanese name, even if the localizations and the Wiki use different names.

That is, when a spell or item is clearly the same given its Japanese name, not assume it is two different ones just because translators used multiple names.

As an example, "hurt" and "firebal". In "American", they would be considered different spells, but thay have always been "gira". Also, they are a different family than "mera", which is "blaze" in Dragon Warrior III.

I guess what I am trying to say is to have a clear understanding of what the names were originally before going into article-editing mode.

It shouldn't be too hard to get Japanese names right, and double-check Katakana/Hiragana/Kanji correct spelling, too.
