What level should I be at when I fight orochi my hero is is level 16, my warrior is level 18,my cleric is level 17,my mage is level 17.

I'd level up a little more. You're probably going to get destroyed.

You should really be closer to Level 20 by the time you reach DHARMA. I'd level up more around there, and in the nearby Tower of Garuna. If I remember correctly, it's the earliest place in the game where you can fight Metal Slimes (on the tower's higher floors). Level 22-28 is a good time to fight Orochi.

I beat Orochi at level 23, solo so even if you got your party up to level 20 you should be fine. Remember to do the multiple Orochi Sword trick for some good weapons/money/Orochi Medals. Oh you should level up a lot by doing that too

;) Bare Minimum is Level 25, you should have BiKill and Barrier before taking on the multiheaded serpent. Like Indogutsu said, go to the Tower of Garuna's higher floors and battle some Metal Slimes to gain some quick EXP.

Wait is for remake or not? I was talking about GBC remake which was easier.

It should also be mentioned that Metal Slimes are more common (and appear in larger groups) in the Fuji Volcano dungeon next to Jipang (Zipangu). Of course, I'd prefer you build levels in the Tower of Garuna because Fuji's normal enemies are much more difficult. Lava Bashers (Lave Basher?) have fire breath that can significantly damage your party. Fierce Bears' regular attacks sometimes cause critical damage. And worst of all, Derangers know the Chaos spell.

In the remake Orochi (and everything else, honestly) is significantly easier. I think I was 19/21/20/20 (hero/warrior/cleric/mage).

my cleric is level 23 and my mage turned sage is level 17 and when do i learn barrier it says on the the spell list level 32.

The levels you get spells can actually vary in this game. You may get your spell a little bit earlier or later then a guide lists.

On a side note- I as well as other readers may appreciate it if you use some comas to make your posts a little clearer.

I've never had Barrier for the Orochi fight. You shouldn't need it, really.

If it's NES, you need at least one or two people at level 23. I was at Level 22 once, and racked up over 700HP in damage with no effect. I did the same at lv 23 and whacked Orichi relatively easily with about 1/2 that amount of damage.

What is this multiple sword trick? Please elaborate because I have no clue what this is :o
