  1. E3 2016 Discussion Thread

Ok, so they look like the job class you pick...not a fan of that knowing DW7 so well after all these years, but whatever. I hope that can be turned off. More offensive if they renamed Gabo to Ruff....Ruff? Aira is Aishe and Melvin is Sir Mervyn. I hope that's just customizable names. Also, they really need to fire whoever does the DQ localizations for the portable games; the dialogue and character naming is all awful. I never could bring myself to finish any of the re-translated DS games because of how bad the dialogue is. They've changed way more than I'm comfortable with in this game. I'll still buy it because I'm a sucker, but this doesn't look much like DW7 anymore. It makes me wonder if they're going to mess with DQ8 as well.
  2. To be shown at E3

What the $#!& is going on with the DQ7 characters? They all look like new people except Gabo. Ok, so they look like the job class you pick...not a fan of that knowing DW7 so well, but whatever. 3. He never comes out and the house is clearly heavily guarded. I did not see any Stonemen yet.
  4. http://imgur.com/gallery/QT97E This is how often Dragon Warrior passes through my mind in real life, lol. This is in my new neighborhood I moved into.
  5. Gold Digger's map + Happy map

Yeah, I was considering selling it and re-buying the normal edition later. I've basically stopped collecting DQ stuff since selling off my big ass collection last year, but I wanted this edition for the DLC. Guess I'll just sell it off then if the DLC isn't a big enough impact. I don't need all the extra physical stuff.
  6. Has anyone redeemed theirs yet and gotten to these maps? I'm reluctant to redeem my Collector's Edition codes because I'm not sure I care enough about the weapons and the maps. I was curious what all is in the maps but I can't find any details anywhere. I'm relatively far into the game already so I don't know if it's pointless at this point to redeem them either.
  7. FYI - the DQ3 costumes code has to be "unlocked" by going to your SQEX account and viewing your order history and clicking the "validate activation" button.
  8. I thought about that while I was in bed last night. The code slip in my copy only covers the weapons and 2 maps...nothing about the DW3 heroes. Might be what Tiael said and they email them...guess we'll see in a couple days.
  9. My copy shipped early and I opted for free super saver slow ass shipping...I actually got it today! Here's my shitty unboxing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avfh24zdsGI
  10. Getting started on PC

Yep. I literally went through every config option I could setup one by one and that was the LAST thing I did. The borderless full screen is the only option it didn't do it on. It even did the tearing at the absolutely lowest settings 640x480 everything minimum and windowed. It wasn't until I did the borderless full that it stopped completely even at the highest settings. that's weird. Also, I think that first checkbox on the advanced graphics page (there are two, the 2nd is about screensavers) is the v-sync because it said something about tearing, I believe. That didn't fix the tearing issue though - it was the windowing option...but I turned it on just in case.
  11. Excellent translation! Finally got off my ass and tried it out. Keep up the good work.
  12. Getting started on PC

I have a pretty decent GPU (GeForce GTX 750) that can play some pretty new stuff on very high settings, but no matter what I do on this game, even the low presets, I get pretty bad horizontal screen tearing. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? My Japanese is rust as hell and I can basically bumble through Katakana nowadays, so I can't read some of the advanced config options. Is there a V-sync somewhere I can check? I mean, it seems like it runs just fine on very high presets other than that tearing, but the tearing happens no matter what I do. I think the only thing I haven't tried yet is 30fps...but when I click the auto-config button, it sets me to 60fps.
  13. I also got an error extracting with both WinZip and WinRAR. It did work with 7zip though, but I haven't tested to see if there are any file errors.
  14. To answer the topic question: Everyone. So does the current patch take care of everything one would need outside of having the game?
